‘Dunbar’ Number for Words in a Reply

Just as there is a number for how many ‘friends’ we can have (the Dunbar Number), based on a recent post by Raine, I wonder what the optimal length of a written contribution to a discussion is. I would suggest it’s longer than a tweet but shorter than a full article in a magazine or on some blogs.

How might we measure this and optimise for this?
