Parliamentary Democracy

Last updated on August 31, 2019

I am upset and feel unsettled at having to go through the process (not super-trivial) to prove I should be able to live here after BREXIT but I have to ask; is it really so attractive to live in a country where lying, spineless anti-democracy politicians such as these actually have enough support from the population to stay in power? The referendum was not direct democracy, it was a referendum and it came so close as to pretty much be within the margin of error and not anywhere near the ¾ majority usually needed to change a law in this country.
To work to in any way hamper parliamentary democracy from functioning at its best is to work against democracy, it’s that simple. Otherwise, why have a parliament at all?
